The Special Adviser to the President on Technical matters and Secretary SURE-P, NzeAkachukwuNwankpo stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Theodore Orji at Government House Umuahia.
He said that the team was in Abia State to monitor the activities of Community Work Services of the SURE-P.
NzeAkachukwu explained that the Community Work Service is a social safety net designed to engage youths.
Responding, Governor Theodore Orji represented by his Deputy, Sir EmekaAnanabadescribe the introduction of SURE-P as a step in the right direction.
He noted that the programme had succeeded in empowering some youths in the State.
Radio Nigeria correspondent reports that the team later visited eight communities in the state where SURE-P is engaging youths in community work service.
