The Acting Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Dr. Samson Shuaibu has called for increased investment in the Tourism sector as a way of diversifying the nation’s revenue... base.Dr. Shuaibu made the call when he received the leadership of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, on a courtesy visit to Radio House, the Corporation’s Headquarters.
He described the Tourism sector as viable because of the nation’s endowment in natural and historic tourism destinations, which regrettably had remained underdeveloped.
Dr. Shuaibu expressed Radio Nigeria’s readiness to do its best in promoting the nation’s Tourism potential.
Earlier, the Deputy National Chairman of the Tourism Association, Mr. Tomi Akingbogun said an exhibition of the Tourism Industry was being organized in Abuja later this month to showcase local destinations and stimulate interest in the sector.
Mr. Akingbogun urged the media to showcase positive developments in the country as a way of encouraging interest and investment in the Nation’s Tourism sector.
