Bomb Abandoned Since civil War Recovered

An explosive device believed to have been abandoned since the civil war has been recovered in enugu. The civil war device was seen by a man while he was working at the compound of Premier Secondary School,
Ukehe in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, who on sighting the suspected object, informed the police.


Operatives of the Explosive Ordinance Department, otherwise known as anti-bomb unit of the Enugu State police command evacuated the unexploded ordinance (UXO) measuring about 36cm , which is believed to be likely potent.

According to a press statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in Enugu State, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, the area has been rendered safe by the police operatives through the application of Rendering Safe Procedures (RSP).
