UNTH successfully performs another set of heart surgeries.

The Open heart foundation, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH,Ituku,Ozalla in collaboration with Doctors from Ireland and United Kingdom has performed three heart surgeries at the hospital.

The Chief Medical Director of UNTH, Doctor Christopher Amah made this known while addressing news men on the operation.  Doctor Amah explained that the surgery was the second feat to be achieved by the hospital.

Two of the patients, Mr. Jude Uba and Mr. ChineduNwalise expressed appreciations to God for a successful operation. Also in an interview, some of the staff of the hospital described the surgery as a landmark achievement in health care delivery.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent reports that another set of patients are scheduled for similar heart surgery in the hospital later in year.
