Abia State Governor Theodore Orji has commissioned a chest clinic built and donated to the state by the Agbami partners.
Governor Orji, while commissioning the hospital said the ...improvement in health sector is of special interest to his administration and comes as number one priority because it is a only a healthy individual that can enjoy the benefit of good governance and dividend of democracy.The clinic built inside Amachara Specialist and Diagnostic Centre cum General Hospital, Umuahia South LGA is among one of the Agbami partners corporate social responsibility in health sector to ensure easy accessibility to rural dwellers.
The Agbami partners consist of Star Deepwater Petroleum Limited (A chevron Company), Famfa Oil Limited, Statoil Nigeria Limited, Petroleo Brasilieiro Nigeria Limited and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
The building of the well-equipped Ultra-modern Clinic was implemented with the full support of the state government and is an aspect of the Agbami partner’s strategic intervention plan in health sector aimed at providing accessible health care delivery to the people.
Commissioning the chest clinic, Governor Orji said that his determination to govern healthy people is becoming a reality every day and reiterated his commitment to continue to do everything to ensure quality health care delivery.
With the modern diagnostic centre in Umuahia and Aba, in addition to a Dialysis Centre equipped with about six dialysis machines and a functional two hundred and fifty health centres in the rural areas, seventeen ambulances positioned in the seventeen LGAs among others,
This Gesture by the Agbami partners would complement the effort of the government in delivering quality health care to Abia state indigenes who would ensure that the clinic is sustained and utilized to its maximal capacity.
